(Greenfield, MA) –The Wednesday fire which damaged a Pierce Street Greenfield apartment house this was not deliberately set, according to Greenfield Fire Chief Bob Strahan.
“It appears to be accidental,” Strahan said. “There’s nothing that is leading us to any type of suspicious cause.”
Multiple towns responded via Mutual Aid, for which Strahan is extremely grateful.
“We stand ready to assist our neighbors, and just by what we saw Wednesday, they are there for us too, and we very much appreciate that,” Strahan added.
No one was injured in Wednesday’s blaze, which has temporarily displaced some second floor residents.
