Greenfield City Council receives resolution from School Committee on budget

GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — This Wednesday, the Greenfield City Council will be voting on the Fiscal Year 2026 Operating Budget.

The Council will also be hearing from the School Committee who have submitted a resolution to the Council requesting an additional $350,000 beyond the Mayor’s proposed budget “to preserve staffing and services” in the schools, claiming the city has available levy capacity.
