(Greenfield, MA) — Greenfield city leaders are still trying to figure out how to handle public meetings in the post-COVID era. The Greenfield City Council Chairs Committee has voted to conduct public meetings of that body virtually for the month of July, to allow the full council to have a discussion at its July 21 meeting on how to handle things moving forward. Some members are concerned that residents may not be as willing to attend in-person meetings yet despite the COVID state of emergency being lifted. City officials had been considering holding hybrid meetings as other communities are doing, but it was deemed to be too expensive a proposition.
