(Greenfield, MA) Greenfield City Council meet last night to continue their November 15th meeting and the tax classification hearing. After hearing from Assessor Randall Austin, the council voted unanimously to adopt a minimum residential factor of one, making the tax rate equal for all classes of property for fiscal year 2024. The council discussed a residential exemption and while some members believe it could use further discussion for the next fiscal year, it was ultimately decided that there would be no residential exemption adopted this year.
