(Greenfield, MA) Greenfield Community Relations Committee with City Councilor Penny Ricketts held a public forum Monday evening to give residents the opportunity to bring issues to council and let councilors respond, something councilors cannot do during public comment at full city council meetings.

Several residents attended the forum and brought forth issues to discuss such as the role of the Public Safety Commission in the oversight of the Greenfield Police Department, the need for more recycling receptacles in high traffic areas of town, recording city meetings so they may all be available through GCTV, the needs of the homeless as we head into fall and winter, and the maintenance of unaccepted ways in the city. Councilors were able to help residents find potential pathways for next steps in some of these issues, even as some of the issues were outside of the purview of city council.
