(Greenfield, MA) — Greenfield’s Conservation Commission is asking the city to hold off on this week’s planned auction of a tract of land off Rocky Mountain Park. The Commission says the land off Stone Ridge Lane has largely been used for recreational purposes over the years and more conversation is needed on ways to protect the area from potential development. Mayor Roxann Wedegartner told board members that the auction has already been publicized and cannot be called off at this point.
