(Greenfield, MA) Today, the City of Greenfield is reporting 160 confirmed cases of COVID-19. There have been 111 recoveries and 37 deaths. A representative for Mayor Roxann Wedegartner, Keith Barnicle, said this is the most accurate information available for current confirmed COVID-19 cases in the town. Barnicle said Greenfield uses highly vetted MAVEN data from the State of Massachusetts in their COVID-19 reporting. The Franklin County Council of Governments also issues daily COVID-19 data by town, which can be found here. While Greenfield reports 160 confirmed COVID-19 cases, FRCOG reports 213. A representative from FRCOG could not be reached for a comment about the discrepancy.
