(Greenfield, MA)  – The Greenfield Farmers’ Market will be open Saturday, May 2, on the Greenfield Town Common. Social distancing safety measures will be in place. Vendors will be wearing face coverings and gloves throughout the day and gloves will be changed frequently. Measures will be taken to distance vendors and customers, only vendors will be handling the products for sale, and menus of available items will be used for the quickest flow through the market.

“While some may disagree with the decision of opening at this time, we are committed to following every safety measure possible,” said a representative of the Greenfield’s Farmers Market in a recent Facebook post about the opening.

The public is urged to remember to wear a face covering when attending the market and observe social distancing measures put in place by the market and by local leaders to slow the spread of the virus.
