GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Greenfield Fire Chief Robert Strahan delivered his end of year report to the Public Safety Commission and shared that once again the department has said the busiest year yet with last fall’s unprecedented wildfires and lack of precipitation becoming an “emerging concern” for the northeast.
Chief Strahan also shared that the department is closing in on becoming fully staffed for the first time in fifteen years according to the chief, and they will also be reintroducing the deputy chief position this year.
