(Greenfield, MA) — The Greenfield Fire Department has officially moved into its new temporary headquarters. The final pieces of firefighting equipment were officially moved to the new Hope Street complex late in the day yesterday. The 85-year-old Main Street firehouse will be officially sealed tomorrow and eventually demolished to make room for a new public library. A new permanent fire department building will eventually be built at the former Open Air Market site on the western end of Main Street.
