GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Greenfield High School will have a new principal July 1st, Michael Browning, who currently serves as the principal at Four Corners Elementary School since 2022. Superintendent Christine DeBarge announced that Browning will be taking over in her monthly updates to parents, where she also announced the search has begun for a new Four Corners principal. Before taking on the role of principal at Four Corners, Browning was the associate principal at Greenfield Middle School.
At Wednesday’s School Committee meeting, Superintendent DeBarge welcomed Browning and he shared that he was excited to take on the role and build on the district’s five year plan.
The high school’s current principal Derek Morrison will be leaving after more than two years in the role, although Morrison declined to share why he would be leaving the position..
