(Greenfield, MA) — A bit of local sports history was made over the weekend when Greenfield Green Wave hockey defeated Ludlow 4-nothing, to become the first GHS hockey team in 76 years to complete an undefeated season. The Wave, which is actually a co-operative team made up of students across Franklin County, finished the season 10-0-and-1–and even got to shave Head Coach Adam Bouchard’s head between the second and third periods. Bouchard agreed to have his head shaved if the GHS program surpassed a recent fundraising goal. Doing the honors were the team’s graduating seniors, who were playing their final game for the program.
