GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The city of Greenfield is looking for a new finance director. Mayor Ginny Desorgher announced at tonight’s City Council meeting that the previous finance director, Diana Schindler, is exploring other options and the position will be posted tomorrow, April 18th.

Schindler started in November of 2022 after Liz Gilman resigned and during her time also worked as the interim Chief of Staff for former Mayor Roxann Wedegartner. Previously, Schindler served as the town administrator for Hopedale and Deerfield.

Mayor Desorgher has shared that multiple members of the finance department and Mayor’s Office have stepped up to help until the finance director position is filled, also sharing that she is already exploring some leads.
