GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Greenfield Water Facilities are temporarily pausing their household hazardous waste collection while a construction project is underway for approximately the next six months. They are expected to resume collections in July of 2025. In the interim, the Greenfield DPW recommends individuals who need to dispose hazardous household items utilize NEDT Hazardous Waste Removal. NEDT has a drop-off location in Westfield that can be utilized for a cost.

Greenfield Water Facilities Pause Collection on Household Hazardous Waste

GREENFIELD – The Greenfield Water Facilities, located at 384 Deerfield Street, will be implementing a temporary pause on household hazardous waste collection. The Water Facilities is currently undergoing a construction project that is expected to take approximately six months. The collection pause will conclude by July 1, 2025.

Household hazardous waste items include waste oil, anti-freeze, oil base pants, auto batteries, pool chemicals and other items.
