(Greenfield, MA) The Greenfield Police Department audit will not be happening after the City Council unanimously voted against it on Wednesday. Members of the public also voiced their concerns during public comment about the cost of an audit and what progress would come from it.
Councilor Penny Ricketts said that the reason she wouldn’t vote for the audit tonight was “the price tag”, but that she was “for an audit” as it may be beneficial down the road. Vice President Dan Guin said that he would “vote ‘no’ and look at it again when it comes back.”
