(Greenfield, MA) — Greenfield Police are investigating the discovery of anti-police graffiti spray painted on the former Wilson’s Department Store building.
Greenfield Deputy Police Chief Bill Gordon says the department was notified this week by Wilson’s owner Kevin O’Neil about the presence of the offending message near the vacant building’s back door. The image included what appeared to be an Antifa mask and an anti-police message containing an expletive. Gordon said O’Neil admitted that such vandalism has become more common since the store closed for business.
Gordon says there are currently no suspects, but the investigation is ongoing and police continue to actively patrol and monitor the area.
