Greenfield Property Tax Rate To Drop The Largest Amount In A Decade

(Greenfield, MA) – Greenfield’s property tax rate is going down. Mayor Roxann Wedegartner has announced that the recent annual tax classification process determined a tax rate of $22.32 per thousand for next year, down from $23.22 per thousand in fiscal 2021. It’s the largest rate s=drop in a decade. Wedegartner said the reduced rate may not necessarily translate into a reduced property tax bill, which is largely determined by the worth of the individual parcel.
