(Greenfield, MA) Mayor Wedegartner and the Greenfield Community and Economic Development Department announced earlier this week that Greenfield has received a $99,000 grant from the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism. The grant will be used towards outreach efforts and to promote events to draw in visitors to this area.
The city will use the funds for new highway signs for attractions, new signs for the Franklin County Fairgrounds, a Discover Greenfield, MA video series, updates to websites, and advertising. “This grant forges a new collaboration among the City, the Franklin County Fairgrounds, the Crossroads Cultural District and the Greenfield Business Association to make great use of limited resources that highlight and celebrate our City,” said Community and Economic Development Director MJ Adams.
