(Combined Sources) According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, the Greenfield Registry of Motor Vehicles will reopen on October 12. The location has been closed since this past March and residents have been forced to visit the next closest RMV location in Springfield or Pittsfield to renew their license or register a vehicle. State Senator Jo Comerford and Representative Natalie Blais both sent letters to the department of transportation to request the reopening.
