(Greenfield, MA) — It could be another tough year for the Greenfield School Department. School officials were told at a recent City Council Ways and Means Committee that the budget submitted by Mayor Roxann Wedegartner will recommend a million dollars less than the budget being recommended by the school committee. This would mark the fifth year in a row that the city council will be forced to approve a school budget amount lower than that requested by the school committee.
