(Greenfield, MA) — In-person learning will not be resuming in Greenfield schools Tuesday after all.
The Greenfield School Committee has voted to once again delay the return to Phase Two in-person instruction, this time to Thursday, January 21. The committee last week voted on a January 19th return date, but with the warning that future delays were a possibility.
Among concerns expressed by committee members included whether the district would have adequate staffing levels for a January 19th return, and the absence of updated COVID 19 contagion data. The delay affects a fairly small percentage of district students, primarily special ed students with a curriculum which requires some level of in-person instruction.
