(Greenfield, MA)  — The union representing Greenfield’s school teachers has filed an unfair labor practices complaint against the firm hired to manage the district’s business affairs. The Greenfield Education Association claims that Management Solutions, the company hired to manage the district while it seeks a new superintendent, is trying to prevent teachers from receiving certain benefits and protections under the Americans with Disabilities and the Family Medical Leave acts. The complaint was filed with the State Department of Labor Relations. A separate grievance was filed with the city alleging a series of contract violations by the management firm.
