(Greenfield, MA) — It will likely be late summer before the Greenfield Fire Department is set up in a new, temporary headquarters on Hope Street. The original plan called for a move to the new building by late June or July, but city officials say a more realistic timeline is late August. The department is being moved to make way for construction of a new library. The eventual plan is to move to a permanent facility on Main Street once a new building is constructed.
