(Greenfield, MA) — Progress continues on the construction of Greenfield’s new temporary fire station. The $2 million dollar facility is currently being constructed on the former Hope Street parking lot adjacent to the Franklin County Courthouse. The fire department will be housed at the site until a new fire station is constructed on what is now the open air market on Main Street. The current fire station is set to be demolished to make room for Greenfield’s new public library.
