(undated) — Local activists will be joining their counterparts statewide later this month to call for a moratorium on large scale solar development. Simultaneous demonstrations will be held July 31 at the Greenfield Energy Park and the Onset Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Wareham in an effort to draw attention to the potential environmental and quality of life issues related to large-scale solar development. The event is also intended to help persuade state officials to reconsider their support for solar development given the present situation.
