Greenfield To Temporarily Waive Penalties And Interest For Late Tax Payments

(Greenfield, MA) — Greenfield residents unable to pay their fourth quarter property tax bills on time will be temporarily absolved of penalties and interest.

Mayor Roxann Wedegartner has announced that the city will waive fees and penalties for late payments until June 29, 2020. The due date for fourth quarter payments remains May 1. Wedegartner says she recognizes that some people may have trouble making payments because of income lost to the COVID 19 pandemic.
