(Greenfield, MA) At Wednesday’s Greenfield Ways & Means subcommittee meeting, councilors discussed the FY24 operating budget. After careful deliberations, they made several recommendations to amend down some department budget line items and they unanimously voted in favor of recommending to add $1,169,620 to the Greenfield Public School’s budget. This comes after the Mayor had proposed a school budget that was approximately $1.5 million less than what the superintendent had requested. The budget will be voted on by City Council on May 17th at 6:30 p.m.
