(Greenfield, MA) — Greenfield’s makeshift COVID vaccination clinic is now closed. The final first inoculations were held at the John Zon Community Center this past Friday. Greenfield Mayor Roxann Wedegartner said over 17,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine were distributed, largely with the help of volunteers. Wedegartner said she was proud of the city’s efforts to help “protect the most vulnerable among us.” The clinic will reopen briefly in early June to administer some second doses, after which the building will be returned to the Council on Aging for eventual re-use as a senior center.
