(Combined Sources) The pandemic has put Greenfield’s anaerobic digester program on hold. The city’s public works department had planned on purchasing the digester for the wastewater treatment plant off ofDeerfield Street. According to Public Works Director Marlo Warner, the funds were frozen when the pandemic started. Greenfield was ready to budget $4.1 million for the project and work with neighboring towns to establish the digester that would help with sludge disposal.
