(Greenfield, MA) — The days of cars driving through Greenfield’s Court Square may be ending. The city of Greenfield has announced that it is moving forward with a pilot program to turn Court Square into a pedestrian-only area. The change, which is set to begin Friday, will involve the use of jersey barriers and new line configurations to prevent cars from being able to access the area between town hall and the Greenfield common. The pilot program is slated to run from the summer into the fall, after which the setup will be re-evaluated.
