Greenfield’s Inclusion In PBS Documentary Will Cost Money

(Greenfield, MA) — The city of Greenfield’s appearance in an upcoming PBS special will apparently carry a price tag. The city will have to pay a $28,000 underwriting fee for the three-to-five minute feature on the PBS production “Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid.” Greenfield Mayor Roxann Wedegartner recently announced the city’s participation in the show to the city council, but did not reveal the financial details. Wedegartner says the feature is an opportunity to “put Greenfield on the map.” Filming will take place in September.
