(Greenfield, MA) — Greenfield’s mayor is throwing her support behind incumbent Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey. Mayor Roxann Wedegartner has issued a statement backing Markey’s bid for reelection this fall. Markey is being opposed by Congressman Joe Kennedy in the Democratic primary. A number of city councilors have also announced support for Markey in the primary, which will be held in September.
