Greenfield’s Mayor Seeks Permission To Sell Library Building

(Greenfield, MA) — The current Greenfield Public Library building may soon be on the market. Greenfield Mayor Roxann Wedegartner has asked the city council to grant her permission to sell the current library building once a new facility is built. Wedegartner said recent meetings with library officials have convinced her that selling the property rather than retaining it is the right move. The council is expected to consider Wedegartner’s request at its June meeting.
