(Combined Souces) A group of people gathered at the French King Bridge this past Saturday to raise awareness about mental illness and suicide. The bridge has been the site of suicide attempts and recently the Massachusetts DOT has been working with the towns of Erving and Gill to install a safety barrier on the bridge. Planning has been ongoing since 2019. Some opposed to the plan say that barriers on the French King Bridge would diminish the view.
