BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Nearly half of the signatures needed to suspend a new gun law have been collected and the October 9th deadline is fast approaching. If 37,287 signatures are gathered on time, a question could be placed on the 2026 ballot to repeal the law and if 49,716 signatures are gathered, the law could be suspended until that vote unless Governor Healey files an emergency preamble to put the law into immediate effect.
