GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The dream season of the Franklin Tech Eagles football team hit its first road bump on Friday night. The Eagles went to Ware and lost to the Indians, 20-6. That result, combined with Athol’s 35-6 win over rival Mahar, creates a three-way tie for first place in the Intercounty League North between Athol, Franklin Tech, and Ware.
Elsewhere, Frontier picked up an impressive road win against Belchertown, 20-0 over the Orioles. Greenfield lost at home back on Thursday night, falling to Palmer, 28-12.
There will be two football broadcasts this upcoming weekend on Bear Country 95.3:
- Greenfield will play host to Athol Friday night. Coverage begins at 6:45 p.m.
