HATFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Hatfield Luminarium celebration will be going ahead without fireworks this year.
The decision to cancel the fireworks stems from the ongoing drought conditions and fire safety concerns according to a statement from town officials who also said they had to make the call 30 days prior to the event for the application process.
The Luminarium will take place Saturday, December 21st at 4:30 p.m. with a float competition with prizes for the top three floats.
