HATFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Hatfield Police are investigating two incidents of vandalism, where Israeli signs outside two residences were spray painted with the phrase “free Gaza.” One of the acts of vandalism was discovered Wednesday morning when father and son walked outside to meet the school bus.
The father, Roni Almog, came to the U.S. eight years ago from Israel and has had multiple family members and friends directly impacted by the war. Almog said he’s noticed growing hostility here in western Mass and hopes people can come together to work towards peace.
