(Charlemont, MA) Hawlemont committee members need to change. That was the message given at a joint meeting of the Mohawk Regional School District Committee and the Hawlemont Regional School Committee. The message came from the Mohawk side from committee member Scott Purington as he referenced how the current contract between the Hawlemont Regional District and Mohawk ends on June 30th. Currently there is no agreement in place for Hawlemont with any area school district past June. Hawlemont parents and staff have voiced their displeasure with the committee including expressing a lack of confidence late in 2021.
