(Charlemont, MA) – Staff and faculty at the Hawlemont Elementary School in Charlemont are expressing a lack of confidence with their school committee. A number of employees turned out at this week’s Hawlemont School Committee meeting to outline their dissatisfaction with the committee’s handling of the district, and what the teachers say is the committee’s method of communicating, which they say has led to friction with school officials and the Mohawk Regional School District. Hawlemont School Principal Lindsay Rodriguez resigned on December first, and the search for a replacement is underway.
