GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Murder suspect Taaniel Herberger-Brown was arraigned in Greenfield District Court Tuesday where he pleaded not guilty to a single count of murder in relation to the death of Christopher Hairston and is being held without bail until his next court appearance on August 28th.

Herberger-Brown allegedly told police an unknown person broke into his apartment and they got into a physical altercation when the intruder died because his heart stopped. He was arrested at the Albany International Airport one day after police discovered the decomposing remains of Hairston at Herberger-Brown’s apartment on Chapman Street in Greenfield.
