GARDNER, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Heywood Healthcare is officially exiting Chapter 11 bankruptcy after a year of effort to regain financial stability. The announcement was made yesterday by President and CEO Rozanna Penney who said they are exiting bankruptcy “as an independent community-owned and community-governed organization.”
Penney also noted that during the past year in Chapter 11, Heywood was able to substantially improve employee satisfaction for the first time in five years, while also optimizing operations and maintaining community programs.
Heywood Hospital will be hosting a stakeholder update on Thursday, October 3rd at 10:30 a.m.
