WARWICK, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The cause of death for the Keene woman whose remains were found in Warwick in October has been ruled a homicide.

31-year-old Justina Steffy was reported missing from Keene in early October and her remains were found on October 22nd. Her death certificate indicates she died from “the combined tonic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, and due to or as a consequence of xylazine.” 

According to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, a section of Hastings Heights Road in Warwick was closed on Tuesday, October 22nd for a missing persons investigation. The Warwick Police and State Police assisted New Hampshire authorities with their investigation. There was no threat to public safety at any time and no further information can be released at this time.
