(Bernardston, MA) There was a structure fire at 91 West Mountain Road in Bernardston Wednesday evening around 11:30 p.m. Bernardston Fire responded and found heavy smoke on two floors. They rung a second alarm and surrounding towns were called in for mutual aid, including the Turners Falls Fire Department, which left the scene before 2 a.m. Thursday morning.

The house has been deemed “inhabitable,” displacing the family of five that lived there. All five family members were transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation treatment. No injuries to the firefighters have been reported.
