BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife launched Hunters Share the Harvest Program on Thanksgiving Day in 2022 and since then, the program has distributed over 60,000 donated venison meals to residents facing food insecurity. There are now eighteen participating venison processors and over 25 distribution partners across the state.
