(Leeds, MA) The VA hospital in Leeds was set to close, but will now remain open. The Department of Veterans’ Affairs announced they were going to close the hospital in Leeds earlier this year due to costs related to the building, but Massachusetts legislators fought to keep it open after so many residents reached out to their representatives. Many people were concerned about the lengths veterans would have to travel for healthcare if the facility closed.
