(undated) — Don’t expect the state to pick up the economic slack caused by the termination of extended federal unemployment benefits. Legislative leaders say there are no plans to use state funds to fill the void created by the termination of federal benefits which were extended during the pandemic. The cancellation of those benefits is expected to impact 330,000 Massachusetts residents. Legislators today are expected to resume hearings on how to best spend millions in federal reimbursements related to the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
