(Leverett, MA) Leverett’s Community Preservation Committee is hosting a public hearing on the four eligible project proposals on Wednesday, March 6th at 7 pm in Town Hall and via Zoom. Leverett was one of 8 municipalities, out of 189, to receive the highest possible match, 100%, from the state for the Community Preservation surcharge, meaning a total of $239,730 is available for projects this year. The eligible proposals include a $24,500 request to rehabilitate the exterior of Moore’s Corner Schoolhouse, a $25,000 request to rehabilitate the exterior of the Field Memorial Building and Museum, another request for $24,500 to conduct a feasibility study and Design Plan for the Slarrow Mill, and a $15,000 request to expand the building conditions assessment for the Field Library.
