LEVERETT, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Leverett’s Planning Board has released their first ever Comprehensive Plan including information on demographics, land use, natural resources, housing, economy, and community-driven goals and values compiled over the past two years through community surveys, input sessions, small group sessions and other avenues.
According to the Planning Board, in a letter submitted to the Selectboard with the Comprehsenive Plan, “The purpose of the Comprehensive Plan is to ask and answer important questions about our residents’ priorities for the town of Leverett—both now and in the future,” and that “[they] intend for the Plan to be a living document, evolving over time with Community input.”
The goals, as found by survey of 361 residents, center around protecting environmental resources, improving the infrastructure, and making housing more affordable.
