(Ashfield, MA) — A pair of Pioneer Valley brothers are now Oscar winners. Brothers Darius and Abraham Marder, of Ashfield and Amherst, respectively, won two Academy Awards Sunday night for the “Sound of Metal,” a film written and directed by the pair. The movie was nominated for six Oscars, and won for Best Sound and Best Film Editing.
